Community Links
Town Lane Infant School sees itself as at the heart of the community working with and for all those past and present and future pupils, their parents and carers and our neighbours.
Many vistors from the local community are welcomed into school
to share their experiences and expertise with the children.
Each year a different charity talks to the children about
the work and invites the school to help in a worthwhile fund
raising. E.g. Help the Aged, NSPCC.
More recently we have been working with the community and local police to help tackle the problem of anti-social behaviour in the area, promoting respect in the community.
In addition to this we have links with Chester College, John Moores, Birkenhead Sixth Form College, Bebington High Sports College and Weatherhead High School and work with them, helping to train students for a variety of qualifications. We also offer work placements to many of our local Secondary schools.
